At the very edge of the private beach that separates the oppulent Nikko Resort, and the sapphire and turquoise sea. You can't help but wonder at the quaint fishing huts that stand cowering in the shadows of the lavish Nikko.

I can only imagine what the indigenous fishermen think of such
profuse wealth, when their families wellbeing depends on what they catch in their nets that evening or if the ageing jukung will hold together for one more sea voyage.

ReplyDeleteWhat marvellous colours: I am almost dazzled by their exuberance and depth. It is so different here where the newly-unfurled birch leaves glisten in the chill of the sun.
