THE MAID PLAYS CROQUET

Ripponlea Estate
Melbourne, VIC

Looks like the set of an old Rock Hudson movie.
Just waiting for the bathing beauties to arrive, oh and my dry martini.

I know that these are sometimes called funeral lillies, but I still love buying them for my kitchen bench,

I never fail to get nostalgic when I see a weeping willow. I used to have a cubby house under one as a child on my family's property.

This green pond weed is deceiving to the eye.
It looks like you could walk across it.

A shady respite from the afternoon sun.

Or a stolen kiss away from prying eyes in the boathouse.

    1. Thankyou Frannie,
I can't imagine living in those times and having to be demure and sweet.
It is a beautiful spot for reading a good novel, cheese and wine on a lazy afternoon.
